Town 17: After the rain forcing an overnight stay at a newly built motel in Dalby, today I got up early to finish visiting the non-coastal Queensland towns from the ‘I’ve been everywhere’ song. This involved some weaving between different roads to reach them.
First on the list was Brigalow, a small country town in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia with a population of around 457. It appears to be a strong agricultural town with a huge grain store dominating the town.
One point of interest was signposted to the right of the highway – an Historic Cemetery. I took the turn, but sadly no second signpost was found enabling me to find the said cemetery so I am unable to say why it is historic, what it is, or where it is.
