I was totin’ my pack along a winding Highland mountain road

when along came a lorie with a high and canvas covered load.

and so I climbed up in the cab and then I settled down inside.

He asked me if I’d seen a road wi’ sae much rain ‘n wind and I said, “listen, Jimmy, I’ve traveled ever’ road in this here land…”
