Well, bugger me, I’ve gone and done it.
After years on the road, countless sets of tyres, one dust–coated VW, too many pub meals, and a very patient Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, I’ve Been Everywhere, Man — the book — is finally here.
What started as a harebrained idea to visit every single place in Geoff Mack’s iconic Aussie song turned into the road trip of a lifetime… and now it’s a 374-page celebration of that wild, dusty, wonderful ride.
What’s the book about?
Each chapter takes you to one of the 94 places in the song — from Adelong to Yeerongpilly — with stories from the road, oddball encounters, Aussie slang, and a few honest reflections about the state of this sunburnt country (and my knees).
Think red dirt and roadhouses, weird museums, one-dog towns, and big hearts in small places.
Why I wrote it
Because no one else was silly enough to do it. And because these places deserve to be seen, remembered, and celebrated — not just skimmed past on a highway or sung through in 90 seconds.
I wanted to give each of them their moment in the sun. Or rain. Or locust swarm.
Where to get it
