Cheers Brian. I went with a friend on a 4WD course at Stockton Beach a few years back. I'm probably quite conservative in where I would take the Tig as I don't class it as being rugged or with sufficient ground clearance compared to something like a Landrover. I try not to push my luck. I'm building up on my collection of essentials which I am storing along with the spare tyre in the boot.

you should go on a 4wd driving course. it is good to learn how to get out, with the help of other vehicles when stuck so that if you get stuck and someone comes to help, you know what you are doing. also get some basic kit so that if help arrives you have the necessary bits, and also tips on how to do things like river crossings. I found it invaluable to knowing where to take my 4WD and where not to.
