Oh - it was not me that said it was bad for camping. It's apparently what the aboriginal name Grong Grong means.

Geez..how wrong could you be! My husband and I are travelling OZ and we stopped here at Grong Grong Royal hotel where the owners offer free camping at the back of the hotel an they only ask for a gold coin donation for a shower..there are clean toilets and food available and best of all the awesome company of the locals and the hosts!! So, it is free camping but all they ask in return is to come in to the pub for a beer or a meal, and a chat! Go and visit them, they are such great people!

Used to love this song when it was on the top 40!
Just came acroos it again here on the net somehow, and thought maybe we have also been to most of these places.
Not to the details as you have, sometimes just driving through on our way to somewhere!

Must check out a few images and link them to here.
It reminds me of an idea to illustrate alll the scenes in "I love a Sunburnt Country" and another one I love by Erik Bogle, "Shelter".
There are about 18 scenes at least in the 3 verses that lend themselves to some images of mine on Flickr!

cheers,
Bill
