Nick RheinbergerPeter Harris is taking the lyrics to the song “I’ve Been Every Where” seriously, travelling around Australia, to raise money for the The Fred Hollows Foundation. Peter Harris says he is using his home as base and going away for a week or two weeks every now and again to cover a block of Australia. He says he has been very impressed with the 3G wireless network, because he has been in what he thought was the middle of Australia but has still been able to get a very good internet signal. Harris says his goal is set to complete the trip, visiting all 93 places in the song, by 31 December. He says he first became aware of the song through the Telstra advertisements and now it is becoming an iconic song and journey for him. Harris says he did not realise how nicely positioned Wollongong is positioned on the coast.
